In lieu of British singer Lily Allen's upcoming nuptials, London florist McQueens has created a tribute portrait in their store window. But the McQueens Lily Allen portrait is no ordinary photograph -- the life-sized portrait is made from 1800 lilies! The one-of-a-kind masterpiece took six floral experts and over nine hours to complete.
According to the Daily Mail, the awe-inspiring Andy Warhol-style portrait stands six by ten feet tall and is made of Asiatic lilies, which represent romance, femininity and purity.
The tribute portrait will be on display this week at one of the many London branches of McQueen's and was a collaboration with The Flower Council of Holland. Like most businesses that use pop culture to attract attention to themselves, the artwork will most certainly serve as good publicity for the flower shop.
