Marc Paeps Photography Highlights the Dark Side of Home Life
Ryan Hinkson — June 25, 2010 — Unique
Here at Trend Hunter we are no stranger to Marc Paeps' photography; however, I do think this set is some of his most disturbing, yet intriguing work. With most of the shoots being taken in bathrooms, it reminds us that home is not always so sweet.
Images of bloody subjects, someone wearing angel wings drowning in a bathtub and a frightened child make the mood in this set of Marc Paeps photography extremely tense.
Implications - As these images take place in washrooms, a place every North American consumer is familiar with, viewers of this photo series become highly unnerved as they can readily empathize with the subjects of the photos. Corporations looking to invoke a sense of intimacy among their customers may consider media campaigns that take place in intimate spaces.
