When it comes to marble furniture, at least more traditional designs, it's typical for people to associate the material with weight and unwieldy properties. Yet this particular piece of marble furniture dispels this stereotype. Dubbed Riviera Tables, the marble is delivered flat-packed much like IKEA products in order for easy shipping. Assembled like a puzzle, it's also very easy to put together.
Designed by Alfredo Häberli for DADADUM, the marble furniture pieces were created to mimic the natural stone found in southern Switzerland’s Ticino Valley. Available in two styles, coffee table and end table, the design is made up of three pieces, all of which are secured together by the weight of the surface alone. Chic and modern, the marble furniture would complement many homes.
