Rockefeller Partners Architects designed the 'Madeville Canyon Residence,' a luxurious home located in Los Angeles' Brentwood neighborhood.
The clients had lived in eight different homes over the span of a decade, never finding anywhere they wanted to settle down. However, their growing family necessitated that they find a more permanent home. The clients wished to create a purposeful design plan; one in which every room has a clear intention.
The residence takes cues from 1900s craftsman architecture, allowing it to remain simple, sleek and original. One of the home's many focal points is the stone hearth, which imbues a sense of warmth. The fireplace wall extends both vertically, to the upper level, and horizontally, becoming a landscape feature by the pool.
