Ralph Germann undertook a luxury home renovation in converting an old army base formerly known as Arsenal B47 into a livable, lavish space. Germann was conscious about staying true to the historical detailing; he was able to keep the roof and preserve the inside walls by using a protective layer of glass. He also kept the design simple and classic, using materials such as slate, glass and metals, which further complemented the historic design.
The home allows plenty of natural light through windows and large double doors, not to mention showcase the breathtaking mountain views. Overall, Germann was able to maintain the original feel of the home while introducing modern elements – for instance, he painted some walls an eye-popping fuchsia for a fresh twist. The final product is a modern luxury home that feels timeless.
