Lucid Motors is building a new factory located in Casa Grande, Arizona. The new facility will be used to produce the 'Lucid Air,' which is the company's electric sedan. The factory will begin to produce vehicles for the company before the end of 2020. The company selected the Arizona location after examining 60 different potential sites, Lucid Motors states that it picked that location due to the business climate, talent, and the area's supply chain for automotive materials.
Peter Rawlinson, the CEO and CTO of the company, spoke about the new factory, "We are proud to be moving forward on our commitment to manufacturing the Lucid Air in Casa Grande. With supportive investors, an outstanding team of designers and engineers, and a product strategy that extends well beyond the Air, we expect today to be just the start of a longstanding presence in this dynamic city.”
