Artists and visual designers Jeremiah Shaw and Danny Jones have a collective Tumblr site called GEO A DAY where they feature all of the low-poly landscapes they have been working on.
This almost 8-bit style of pixel illustration harks back to the days of retro video games where this level of resolution was as good as it got. Today's technology lets us create almost seamless graphics, this older style is more nostalgic, creating crystallized versions of everything. Fluffy clouds look like boulders in the sky and water has the same texture as ground yet with shading and color consideration, the images have a whimsical appearance.
