Before, I begin, yes I am aware that I used the word "precious" to describe a high fashion, luxury French label, but the Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection is just that. The color palette was simple and in conjunction with the current pastel trend, but at Louis Vuitton, it was taken to the extreme (in typical Marc Jacobs fashion).
Baby pinks, seafoam green, pearly white and canary yellow absolutely dominated the collection. Another huge look was lace, eyelet patterns and florals. The Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection was sweet as pie. And for one of the most exciting surprises of this Paris Fashion Week, Marc Jacobs' close friend, supermodel Kate Moss, closed the show.
The Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection presents feminine clothing in a less-than-subtle way, which will surely continue to fuel rumors that Jacobs is leaving Louis Vuitton to head to Dior as John Galliano's replacement.
Whatever Jacobs decides to do, there is no doubt that the fashion world will continue to hang onto his every word (or design).
