The Llama Restaurante Sudamerico Features Decorative Tile Accents
Jana Pijak — May 22, 2014 — Art & Design
Copenhagen restaurant group Cofoco teamed up with some of the city's most well known design talents to create the new Llama Restaurante Sudamericano space. Kilo founder Lars Larsen, creative advisor Jonas Hartz and BIG partners Jakob Lange and Bjarke Ingels collaborated to create the ethnically ornate eatery. The restaurant celebrates the South American cuisine of Peru, Argentina and Mexico and shares a range of native dishes with Copenhagen's food lovers.
Much like its eclectic and rich menu, the Llama Restaurante Sudamericano's interior design is reflective of the eatery's South American culture. Patterned tiles, rustic woods and animalistic decor accessories serve as the restaurant's main focal points.
Its South American theme is accented with Nordic elements that are reflective of its location. The space successfully fuses its traditional heritage along with modern Scandinavian products and recipes.
