In an effort to help parents teach their children about the importance of cooking healthy meals at home, an Alphamega Hypermarket in Nicosia, Cyprus, recently hosted a Little Chef's cooking workshop for kids.
The Little Chef's cooking workshop was held over the course of two days at Intercollege in Nicosia this past June. The event consisted of 25-person cooking classes lead by chef Nikola Constantinou. The chef began by introducing the kids to a number of healthy dishes before the children were given an opportunity to attempt the dishes themselves. Members of The Cyprus Dietetic and Nutrition Association also attended the event to provide the children with more information about the nutritional value of the dishes.
The event demonstrates how practical knowledge can be combined with hands-on activities to make educational activities more fun for kids.
