Levi's® and NIGO just released a third collaboration collection for Spring/Summer 2023, marking the 150th anniversary of the iconic Levi's® 501® jean. The style was first launched in 1873 as a work pant with copper rivets and has since become a globally recognized clothing staple.
In honor of the 501® jean's 150th anniversary, Levi's® partnered with Japanese streetwear style icon NIGO, who is known for his extensive personal collection of rare denim and vintage Levi's®. This collaborative range includes an exclusive Hickory Stripe 501® jean style with a matching 557XX Hickory Stripe Trucker Jacket. Both garments are made in Japan and are crafted using traditional manufacturing techniques. The collection is unveiled alongside a short film campaign with a theme of "The Future is in the Past." The campaign follows NIGO in his hometown as he explores while wearing pieces from the collection.
Each piece is sold with a special edition Levi's® x NIGO 150th anniversary tote bag and co-branded hangtag. The collection will be available for purchase online on Levi.com, the Levi's® App, and humanmade.jp across Canada.
