The LEGO Mars Curiosity Rover building block set is the latest fan-created LEGO creation put forth by LEGO CUUSOO. Designed by user Peijov, the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover was inspired by real NASA Mars rovers.
Back in the Fall of 2012, LEGO CUUSOO asked over 10,000 fans to contribute their ideas for new, cool and modern LEGO sets. LEGO CUUSOO user Perijov took inspiration for the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover from the role he played in constructing NASA's Mars Curiosity for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The LEGO Mars rover is extremely similar to the real version, and the black, white and gray pieces with the Mars-inspired red building surface all artistically mimic the appearance of the real Mars Curiosity rover. Children and adults LEGO fans alike will definitely enjoy this fan-created space LEGO set.
