These retro LEGO character designs are by graphic designer Dan Shearn, who has combined his passion for LEGO with his love for fictional 80s icons.
LEGO is currently undergoing a renaissance as of late, with LEGO video games being very popular and with the upcoming release of the LEGO movie, the block building toy company has never been bigger. For Dan Shearn, LEGO has always been near and dear to his heart and are important to his son as well. It is with this in mind that Dan began ‘80’s LEGO,’ a personal project where he depicts classic film characters of movies from the 80s in the style of LEGO.
Characters like Judge Dredd, Betelgeuse and Rocky Balboa have all been Legofied with promises of more to come. I can’t wait to see what LEGO character designs he plans to do next.
