The Transfold Backpack is a leather backpack design by Steven Enns that combines function and style. The backpack is made from a tanned vegetable leather that has been folded in such a way so that the origami-like is also able to expand as needed. As well as creating an interesting 3D detail on the bag, it makes the slim leather bag able to accommodate far more items than a bag of comparable size with no folds. Enns describes that his creation is "Big enough to carry more than 2x Gallon Milk Jugs when you need it, and no thinner than a macbook pro when you don’t need it."
Just like any good leather product, the bag will color and take on scars and markings with age, as well as soften as it is carried around more frequently.
