For those of us who still hang on to our landlines, this telephone design is a timeless and beautiful product. Named Colombo one, Colombo two, Big and Sandy eco, a “green†phone made of recycled plastic and in a recycled packaging. The phone reestablishes a visual relationship between earpiece and mouthpiece, while incorporating today's required technology in modern telephones.
Implications - Although most individuals in Generation Y and Z use their mobile phones as a home telephone, there's still a market for landline phones among older generations who still prefer traditional telephones. To stand out against plain landline phones, product designers have updated their classic aesthetic with sinuous lines, environmentally friendly materials and modern technological features.
