It is undeniable that one airport in New York requires a renovation stat, and the LaGuardia Airport concept is here to save the day. Granted, it is a proposal that will probably not see the light of day, even though Vice President Joe Biden was quoted saying in February if he blindfolded someone and took him to LaGuardia, he’d think he was in “some Third World country.” Yet it does lay down the groundwork for something to change.
The LaGuardia Airport concept was envisioned by design firm Neoscape. It was commissioned by the advocacy group Global Gateway Alliance. Joseph Sitt, chairman of the Global Gateway Alliance, says, "This comprehensive vision integrates a modern, efficient and innovative design, including the striking all-glass facade, into La Guardia’s main terminal."
