KUUMBA 2024, Toronto's premier Afro-Canadian cultural celebration, is set to kick off in February 2024. The month-long festival, sponsored by TD Bank Group, aims to showcase the vibrancy of Afro-Canadian culture through multidisciplinary programming, including music, spoken word, dance, visual art exhibitions, film screenings, and breaking. The event features a diverse lineup of local and international artists. KUUMBA 2024 will be headlined by Jully Black and Angie Thomas. In addition to the event, the KUUMB 365 initiative will be launched in partnership with The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery. This activation aims to uplift and celebrate Black culture year-round.
