Kroger Launches the New Digital Smart Screens Across 500 Store Locations

Kroger is debuting over 500 new smart screens in its stores to assist customers and display product information, advertisements, and more. Cooler Screens, a technology company specializing in IoT-enabled screens, partnered with the grocery chain to install screens for the brand to bolster in-store digitization.

According to Cooler Screens, the alliance enables Kroger customers to choose products that suit their individual tastes, dietary restrictions, health requirements, financial constraints, and lifestyles. The screens provide brands with a fresh channel for in-store retail media, although nothing has been confirmed regarding the placement of the devices.

“From a consumer impact perspective, in-store screens, coolers and otherwise can be really effective,” Jordan Berke, CEO and founder of Tomorrow Retail Consulting, said earlier this year.
