Crimagno launched a new crowdfunding campaign for its upcoming 'KOBI' sneaker. This sneaker is hand-made with high-quality materials, many of which are upcycled from scraps. The company sources its recycled material from sole manufacturers' scraps, which it then applies a complex devulcanization process to. It is important to note that this process does not hurt the quality or integrity of the soles.
The rubber midsole of the shoe is crafted out of natural rubber, which Crimagno calls the "Noblest material that can be used for the bottom of a shoe" in its marketing materials. The sustainability does not end here, though, as the zip is made from recycled polyester, the upper is made from bio-based solvent-free TPU, and the shank is manufactured out of recycled wood.
As for the design of the KOBI, Crimagno ensured that the shoe was fit for everyone, applying a unisex design in a variety of sizes. This allows all types of customers to enjoy the high-quality, breathable shoe that is the KOBI.
