It seems there really isn’t any stone to be left unturned when it comes to sexing up traditional designs.
Jewelery designer Jennifer Kellog has turned her talents to adding a twist of sexiness to the traditionally stylish and elegant cameo design.
Kellog describes her creations as “a wink and a nod at the history and the tradition of cameos, with a truly modern and suggestive tilt."
Being a huge fan of timeless vintage clothing and accessories, I find these cameos quite tacky. But each to their own.
On the plus side, Kellog has retained old world craftsmanship in that her pieces are hand carved using classic materials of carnelion and sardonyx seashells, and set in solid gold and sterling silver.
