This Kevin Van Aelst artwork takes everyday objects that one would find around the house and transforms them into magnificent pieces.
Using only common materials and artifacts, Kevin can create captivating illustrations, scenes and photographs by rearranging the props into such a manner that the viewer has to question what it is they are looking upon. His recent work includes a household christmas tree ornament that transforms into a weapon of mass destruction simply by adding a burning string, a life-size stapler made entirely out of LEGO pieces and an airplane made out of a business suit.
Kevin describes his artwork on his site as, “an attempt to reconcile my physical surroundings with the fears, fascinations, curiosities, and daydreams occupying my mind.”
