Kavalan Distillery Debuts the Solist Palo Cortado
Taiwan-based Kavalan Distillery has introduced its latest whisky expression — the Solist Palo Cortado. This launch boldly complements the brand's renowned sherry cask series.
Aged in rare Palo Cortado sherry casks — which account for less than 1% of global sherry production, Kavalan Distillery's single malt whisky offers a unique blend of flavors. The Solist Palo Cortado features intricate aromas of cocoa powder, citrus, dried fruits, and toffee, with a palate that evokes orange pound cake, vanilla, and toasted biscuit notes. The spirit is said to combine the elegance of Amontillado with the richness of Oloroso.
Bottled at cask strength and presented in an elegant wooden box, the Solist Palo Cortado is the seventh and final addition to Kavalan Distillery's extensive sherry cask portfolio. The spirit is available in limited quantities.
