Swarovski Fashion Rocks introduced the Topshop dress worn by Kate Moss at the fashion show and concert. The dress is similar to a 1920's vintage dress from Moss' personal collection. Over 60,000 Swarovski crystal beads of silver, dove greay and antique green adorned the Flapper style cocktail length dress. Looping tassels accentuate every luxurious move. The dress was hand beaded. It will be auctioned to benefit the Princes' Trust Charity. The auction runs until October 28th.
Designed by Kate and the Topshop design team, it was hand-beaded by Hand and Lock – couture embroiderers who have used a specialised and rare kind of beading technique called tamber to create this stunning fluidity.
Combining the production costs at Topshop, and the sheer number of Swarovski crystals, this dress would retail at £40,000.
The auction opens to the public after Kate appears at Swarovski Fashion Rocks. To bid for the dress, simply log on to www.topshop.com/katemoss and place your bid. The auction will be open from 9am on 19th October until 12am on Sunday 28th October 2007.
