The 'Kanga' has been designed with the health of a newborn infant in mind to help ensure that they are always able to be helped as required without the need for complex equipment. The device works by allowing the infant to be placed within after birth to perform resuscitation if needed without having to bring it to another location. This is of particular benefit in developing nations where the instance of infant mortality is higher given the increased risk.
