Abstracted Alpine Illuminators

This sculptural room brightener was inspired by the majestic forms of alpine mountain ranges; it was modelled here with some simplified geometries for a cool and contemporary look.

Keeping true to the topographical feature that it represents, the Jöstedalsbreen Lamp has a rocky base that was cast from charcoal-colored concrete. The triangulated and tectonic textures of the heavy foundation are kept consistent in the snowy cap of the table lamp. The summit is covered in a frosted glass material that serves as a diffuser for the bright light source within. This Yeong Keun piece makes a great stand-alone item, affording illumination and decoration at once.
