Designers Yamagiwa and Hans-Agne Jakobsson work in collaboration to create the special Jakobsson lamp that has a minimal look inspired by both Japandi elements and Scandinavian themes. It is made with sophisticated aesthetics with light shades that are made from concentric bands that are sourced from naturally dried pine wood.
This creates a natural warm light and creates a cozy ambiance. The artisans artfully bend the pine as it is dried and create unique shapes whilst acknowledging the growth rings that are naturally within the timber. Yamagiwa talks about the lighting design, stating that “The soft and gentle light cast through the shades is reminiscent of a bonfire and dusk." It comes in pendant variations, a floor lamp, and a table lamp.
