John Cerney is a Californian artist who creates amazing art that can only be described as giant cut-outs. His work has dotted the American Southwest since 1995, and depict everyone from field workers to playful toddlers.
Cerney first began his art career in 1984 after graduating from Cal State University Long Beach. He worked as a muralist and portrait artist in Southern California for several years before relocating to Central California. In Central California, Cerney began painting murals on barns and eventually moved on to creating his giant cut-out art.
He eventually hooked up with Korean artist Dong Sun Kim and the rest is history. His work is inspiring and mesmerizing, nestled in the heart of the United States.
