Madrid design studio Lucas y Hernández-Gil completes a family home in the form of the JJ16 apartment located in the Salamanca district in Madrid. The home features three bedrooms and prior to the new build, it was used as an office. The studio converts the property into a residence for a family including a mother, her three teenage children, and their dog.
Founders of the design studio, Cristina Dominguez Lucas and Fermanado Hernandez-Gil Ruano speak to Dezeen about the design project. They state, "Everyone had a clear idea of what they needed, which translated directly into the spaces. Far from generating a conflict, different colours and materials give the house a richness, a harmonic heterogeneity."
