Being assigned a project to create a new font based on an animal is no easy task and yet, Jerome Haldemann has been able to tackle the assignment fairly well.
The mammal that Jerome Haldemann received was the hedgehog, and what better way to represent the spiny creature than through the use of toothpicks? Haldemann constructed three-dimensional depictions of different letters that represent the Bodoni font, according to Colossal Art and Design. Each broken piece of toothpick is structured to have the pointy end standing up, which is a clever way to make the letters better resemble the animal. Haldemann has even written a little phrase to show how all the letters look when they form a sentence.
