The Jell-O Mold Competition Makes Lifelike Edibles

The 3rd Annual Jell-O Mold Competition just took place and it definitely featured plenty of creativity.
The competition proved to be a fierce one, with the design Jelly Fishin' made by Peter Pracilio taking home the prize. The gelatine artist created a set of raspberry-flavored worms that wiggled through cocoa powder (acting as dirt) and fish skewers on the side.
Out of all the competitors though, Dentures by Kyla Blakney and Suzan Akpinar was my favorite. The duo recreated lifelike dentures encased in waterlike gelatine for their entry, leaving viewers in awe.
Implications - Companies that produce household name products such as Jell-O have the ability to create competitions for its consumers. By doing this, they allow the consumer to create a better brand relationship with the company as well as the company can garner free press for their competition.
