The Isla AW13 Collection is Inspired by the Russian Culture
Meghan Young — July 30, 2013 — Fashion
Titled 'The Great Utopia,' the Isla AW13 collection is filled with subtly experimental designs in a range of muted neutral colors that do have a futuristic appeal about them. According to Trendland, the Isla AW13 fashion line was inspired by Russian Avant Garde, Sport and Military uniforms in which "the use of smooth lines and the rejection of decoration became the main theme."
Designed by Moscow based designer Olga Kozina, the Isla AW13 collection is a beautiful and stark representation of her culture. Easy and effortless, the simple silhouettes mix traditional with modern for designs that are utterly arresting. It doesn't hurt that the Isla AW13 designs are also likened to scenes of nature, which give the pieces even more context.
