Fashion's love affair with the dark side has been well documented; you only need to flip through a magazine, and you'll be accosted by "dark," "witchy" and "edgy" editorials.
That being said, we just can't get enough! There's something so alluring and mysterious about the occult. It may all be a bunch of "hocus pocus," but it sure does look good! Just look at gothic idols like Elvira, Morticia Addams and Lydia Deetz.
There was a time when being perceived a witch was dangerous and potentially fatal -- lest we forget the Salem witch trials of colonial Massachusetts. Thankfully, times have changed. Now, being called 'witchy' or 'gothic' can easily be a compliment of the highest order.
