Apple's new iSense 3D Scanner Was Unveiled at CES 2014

At this year's CES convention, Apple released its prototype of the iSense 3D Scanner. This portable scanner clips onto any iPad and allows the user to scan an object in three-dimensions in real-time without the aid of the scanning box non-portable 3D scanners use. Powered by Structure Sensor technology, the iSense is able to scan anything without the user needing to be mobile.
The brushed metal housing of the iSense 3D Scanner allows it to bend more with the backing of the iPad it is attached to. Much smaller than Apple's first generation Sense scanner, the iSense comes with a Lightning cable which plugs directly into the user's iPad. With a hefty pricetag of $499 per item, the iSense 3D Scanner is set to go on the market in the second quarter of 2014.
