Mi Casa, Your Casa is an interactive hammock installation that is made for the summer season. Countless of red house-shaped frames hold matching red hammocks that invite people to relax and take in the beautiful day, or night depending on when someone stumbles upon the public installation.
Designed by Héctor Esrawe and Ignacio Cadena, the interactive hammock installation is located at Siftly Piazza and was created as part of their designers-in-residence program at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Meant to engage the community in the vibrant campus of the Woodruff Arts Center, the interactive hammock installation will inspire people in a number of ways. The designers write, "The installation design objectives aspire to: Intrigue, invite, activate, build connections, blur boundaries, engage with the community, amaze, wonder, travel, mutate, bring joy, build identity and a sense of belonging."
