The Infinity Bench looks like a fallen tree that has been resting on a forest floor so long it has finally been hollowed out. Of course, this seat is much more polished than an actual tree trunk. Nevertheless, the Infinity Bench was actually inspired by a past furniture piece created by the designers called The Comfort Girls. The strip making process used to construct the three cocktail tables, which is also used to mold wooden canoes, was also used for the Infinity Bench.
Designed by Andrew Williams and Tom Huang, the Infinity Bench is conceived to be public seating for the lobby of a museum or gallery. Simple, sculptural and sophisticated, this stunning bench would complement any public space beautifully.
