Vogue, the Bible of fashion, is set to make its Indian debut on September 22nd under the helm of Priya Tanna.
"I think that for a long time Vogue was a bit of an elusive dream for the Indian woman. Vogue India will decode trends from a Marc Jacobs show to highlighting trends in Bollywood movies, thus making it relevant for the Indian reader," said Priya Tanna of Vogue India from her Mumbai office.
The inaugural issue is Bollywood-themed, featuring style advice from Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta as well as a write-up by Sukhetu Mehta about the Bollywood film industry. The cover itself features Australian model, Gemma Ward (who was also on the cover of the first Vogue China in 2005), Priyanka Chopra, Monikangana, Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu and Laxmi Menon.
