The In Boxes photo series seems to center around the idea of confinement and the vulnerability we can feel in such controlled spaces. Control that, unfortunately, is out of our hands. This series acts as a commentary on current society, we as citizens and, more fundamentally, individuals of the human race who can often feel oppressed by those in power.
The In Boxes photo series shows that this confinement is often of our own choosing. Instead of concrete, metal or any other unbreakable cell, the In Boxes series uses cardboard to show that we have the strength to break free if we choose to do so.
Shot by Barcelona-based photographer Hector Arnau, the In Boxes photo series is extremely well-executed, provoking thought and critique.
