The IKEA Giltig collection marks the first time the Swedish company has worked with a fashion designer. It enlisted menswear designer Katie Eary to create a line that departs quite drastically from the Scandinavian aesthetic it is known for. Although still simple in some ways, the IKEA Giltig collection is much more quirky and colorful in many more ways.
Full of bold imagery of eyeballs and brains intermixed with fishes dentures, the IKEA Giltig collection has a touch of 'Fear and Loathing' to its theme. That's because the designer was inspired by Johnny Depp's character from that movie as well as her brothers. In spite of the masculine influence, the IKEA Giltig collection will also be appreciated by women.
