This igloo lodge is proof that not everybody goes on vacation to try to escape from the cold, in fact many embrace it. IgluLodge in southern Germany is a frosty haven for those who enjoy the cold and embrace the beauty it presents.
The IgluLodge is seasonal and has been rebuilt on an annual basis since the 2009/2010 season. Each year there are different themes and this year’s theme is Wild Wild West (because there are snow cowboys too).
While the ice sculptures are beautiful, there are many more things to get excited about when it comes to the IgluLodge. One such thing is the amazing view from 6,500 foot elevation, which is breathtaking, and when you’re done with that, there’s always the whirlpool bath. This igloo lodge doesn’t last forever though and will only run until April.
