Airbnb Adds the Latest Addition to its Icons Program

Airbnb announces its latest addition to the Icons Program with a spotlight on the iconic Pixar Up film. It is an overnight experience in Paris' Musee D'Orsay. The program recreates homes from popular culture and the latest is a full-scale model of the home in Up. It is suspended on a crane when there are no guests inside of the space and the unique experience will be offered to guests through a selection process.
Co-founder of Airbnb, Brian Chesky explains, "Icons take you inside worlds that only existed in your imagination – until now. As life becomes increasingly digital, we're focused on bringing more magic into the real world. With Icons, we've created the most extraordinary experiences on Earth. These experiences captured people's imagination and they allowed people to step into someone else's world," said Chesky. "And at its best, this is what Airbnb does. And what it's always been about."
The Up house is designed as a full replica as it was a real home that was built by the team entirely from scratch. It was intricately designed to every detail to match the colors that were used in the film from the siding and the roof tiles to truly capture the whimsical essence.
