Ice Fumarole in Antarctica

Antarctica is erupting with ice volcanos! Specifically, the icy land is home to volcanos that sputter hot gas and lava which create odd cave formations and towers of ice.
Implications - Seeing these icy chimney stacks lining the flanks of Erebus is truly an amazing experience. Hundreds of icy towers are created by the natural contrasting hot and cold environment of Antarctica. As the heat from volcanos melts the snow above creating a deep cave, the steam rising up instantly freezes as it meets the sub-zero temperatures. As the steam continues to rise and then freeze at the top, the spiky towers continue to grow. Some of these icy stacks stand up to 60 feet high.
