HyperLive Entertainment has acquired mobile esports organization Nova Esports as the company moves to take control of Nova’s international operations outside of China. The division will be renamed Nova Hyper Esports, and HyperLive will focus its attention on designing a headquarters location for Nova in Singapore. A press statement claims that establishing a headquarters in Singapore will help the company "grow a worldwide reputation" and offer up new collaborative opportunities between Nova and other companies.
Nova Hyper Esports will now shift its attention to acquiring new international rosters in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand. The organization currently holds rosters in Honor of Kings, Call of Duty: Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
“We have been very impressed by the exceptional performances of the Nova Esports’ international teams this year and we hope to achieve greater milestones in the future. We also intend to build our presence in Southeast Asia and compete in game titles that are popular in the region,” said Dr. Sean Wong, CEO of HyperLive Entertainment.
