A modest combination of tradition and modernity, the Husaro House is a humble abode that rests in the archipelago of Stockholm, Sweden. It embraces both its natural surroundings as well as the minimalist Scandinavian design aesthetic in order to become a safe haven that people might be happy to stay in rather than explore the great outdoors.
Designed by Tham & Videgard Arkitekter, the Husaro House is a very geometric structure of squares and triangles. Yet it's the airy inside full of exposed wood that makes the design so striking. Split into two levels, the Husaro House is equipped with everything a person could need or want. Yet it is its glazed sliding doors to the outdoors that truly stand out, especially against the all-black exterior.
