The 'HUGBIKE' Lets the Driver Hug a Passenger During Rides for Support
Michael Hemsworth — June 19, 2020 — Lifestyle
The 'HUGBIKE' has been specially designed by Opera della Marca srl in collaboration with Fondazione Oltre il Labirinto onlus as an inclusive bicycle that will help to support those who need it most. The tandem bicycle works by having the driver seated in the rear with a front seat section for a passenger that will enable the operator to wrap their arms around them. This makes the bike perfect for those with autism, Down syndrome or any kind of other disability to help them enjoy the simple act of bicycle riding with a parent, sibling or caregiver by their side to support them.
The 'HUGBIKE' is durably designed and helps to promote enhanced social inclusion by taking the requirements of those with special needs into account.
