Ellen Smith — May 25, 2018 — Social Media
In addition to a myriad of new offerings, Facebook has announced that it will introduce a housing marketplace that will help connect users with local businesses for hire.
This experience was made possible through a partnership between the social media network and the existing housing platforms, Handy, HomeAdvisor and Porch. According to a press release, this new and exciting offering will serve as a one-stop shop for all things related to the home. This includes "home projects, aggregating ratings, reviews and credentials by location."
Through this marketplace consumers can search for people to help with DIY projects or hire plumbers, contractors and real estate professionals alike. The marketplace will be available in the near future.
