These stunning photographs of horses with their manes adorned with hair extensions are the work of Australian photographer Julian Wolkenstein.
According to the artist, it took four to five hours to to make each horse’s hair look this good, and the horses apparently enjoyed the pampering. Wolkenstein has refused requests from advertisers wanting to use the images in advertisements, saying that the images were not intended for that purpose.
In addition to being featured in several exhibitions, around 500 posters of the images were made and sent out to select people worldwide.
