To be debuted at the MOST exhibit during Milan Design Week 2013, the new home decor collection by Tom Dixon entitled 'Rough & Smooth' showcases the designer's talent for combining contradictory textures into a succinct series.
Taking inspiration from the natural world as well as the artificial world, Dixon emulates everything from the prismatic design of cellular growth to the pristine smoothness of a round bell. Ridges, grooves, gem-like facets and shiny chrome slickness are seen on the various surfaces of this collection that is made up of several smaller series.
The metallic finish, whether dull or polished, adds a hint of shine that takes this home decor collection from creative to incredible and highly glamorous.
