The HoloPlayer One from Looking Glass makes it possible for users to interact with a digital 3D graphic without the use of a specialized viewing headset for seeing holographic images.
The device itself takes the form of a tabletop gadget with a light field display and an LCD screen where holographic images can be manipulated. Looking Glass developed its HoloPlayer One with designers and animators in mind, as the device makes it possible for images to be created and edited in three dimensions as one sees fit.
As Looking Glass describes, interacting with the scenes shown on the device happens in "the most natural manner possible," with simple gestures such as grabbing, pinching, touching and swiping.
