IO Interactive has announced that “HITMAN World of Assassination” will be available on PlayStation VR2 in December 2024. This release will include several new VR-specific features designed to enhance the immersive experience. Players will have the ability to dual-wield weapons, utilize full ambidexterity, and engage in room-scale gameplay. The game will also support the full main campaign, allowing players to experience the entirety of Agent 47’s missions with added VR enhancements. These features aim to provide a more intuitive and engaging gameplay experience through the use of the PlayStation VR2’s advanced controls and mechanics.
The VR version of “HITMAN World of Assassination” will also incorporate various improvements to the core VR experience. These include spatial interactions, adaptive triggers, and manual interactions for actions such as reloading and taking disguises. Players who already own the game on PlayStation 5 will be able to purchase an upgrade pack to access the VR content.
