Hightail, the company that was formally known as YouSendIt, is offering a new product called Spaces, that is designed specifically for collaborating on work projects.
While YouSendIt was all about sending or receiving large files, Spaces is less about storage and more about collaboration on shared files. This particular product has been available in Beta form for some time now, but is now being made available to the wider online community.
Hightail intends for Spaces to work as a visual representation of projects -- rather than listing projects in folders, each space is manifested in large graphics made up from the files that are contained within. You can also pull in files from your Dropbox account and get others to comment on them.
The online space has changed the way we work and has necessitated new solutions, and Hightail has stepped up to the plate with Spaces.
